Dark tranquility - Forward Momentum
Bloodrock - Double Cross, Melvin Laid An Egg
Bob Dylan - Cold Irons Bound
Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance (1998)
Jaco Pastorius - A Portrait Of Tracy
His significant contribution was the wide use of harmonics and the application of this technique while also playing melodies at the same time to produce a duo of the two sounds solely on a guitar, making public view of the bass guitar, not just an accompany instrument which plays single notes at a time, but a potential instrument to make entire musical pieces with chords and sequences. This song was essentially a demonstration of the overtone / bass melody techniques he introduced to the bass guitar world.
You should check out Michael Manring, if you haven't heard of him before. He's also amazing.
Stones - Midnight Rambler
The definitive version and Mick Tylor's finest hour.
Pantera - Cemetery Gates
Not my type of music, but what a riff to be found on this one.
