Having previously owned Dell, HP, and MSI, I don't recommend Dell or HP due to reliability problems. Have not owned an ASUS but the reliability data is very good for that brand. For the ASUS models you listed those Geforce cards are pretty slow, are you going to play modern games or older ones? Anyway, I like choice 1 best due to ssd, good for a snappy computer (faster opening apps, shutdown, restarts, etc).

Let me guess, you've had a consumer HP or Dell and was badly burned by the "customer service" and "technical support" that they've provided yes?
Go get a Latitude, Precision, ZBook or Elitebook, you wont have these issues.
You get what you pay for, laptops are no exception.

Not a problem because i7 5500U came out faster than i7-4720HQ.
My first choise was asus f555lb. It have decent hardware for the price but the battery is 2 cell.
Im looking this right now as an more expensive option.
    ASUS ROG GL552VW-CN211D
    15.6" FHD LED, 1920x1080p
    Intel Core i7-6700HQ
    8 GB DDR4 RAM
    1000 GB HDD
    nVidia GeForce GTX960M - 2GB
    802.11ac, USB 3.1(Type C), BT
    DVDRW, HD Webcam

The price of the asus f555lb is around 790$
The price on the rog is around 900$ and i need to buy 256gb SSD. That's additional 100$ at the minimum.

Mainly because the 5500u is a dual core compared to the 4720hq quad.. both with hyperthreading giving 4 and 8 cores respectively
