    1) What is your budget? 1000

    2) What size notebook would you prefer?

    d. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

    3) Which country will you buying this notebook? USA

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
    a. Like: SAGER
    b. Dislike: HP, DELL
    5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed? Yes

    6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook? School, WWW, Netflix

    7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both? Both, and my daughter has a habit of leaving it on bed. Cant control her, but, she will do it.. Need laptop to shut off if it gets hot.

    8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? (If so, please state which games or types of games?) No

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need? 3-5 hrs

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK? Online is fine

    11) What OS do you prefer? Windows

    18) How long could you afford to do without your laptop if it were to fail? I have back up laptops.

    19) Would you be willing to pay significantly extra for on-site warranty, or would it be acceptable to you to have to ship the laptop to the vendor for repair with perhaps a week or more outage? I will ship it.

    Sounds like you want an all-around notebook? That would suggest a business class notebook. HP(ProBook), Dell(Latitude 5500) or Lenovo(T590 or L590) are solid chouices. You'll probably save some money over new by shopping in the outlets, they all have them, if you don't mind a return.

    Any suggestion of places to buy. Pm if you cant say within the forum. I havent bought a laptop since 2011, of which I am using now.. A Sager NP5160

    Like I said you'll probably get the best bang for your buck in the manufacturer outlet.
