    1) What is your budget?

250,000 yen or around 2300 USD

    2) What size notebook would you prefer?

Currently using a 15" but would be open to a 17" as well.

    3) Which country will you buying this notebook?

    I live in Japan.

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

    a. Like: ALIENWARE
    b. Dislike: N/A
    5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?

    No.

    6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

I plan to do youtube, web stuff, and playing some games.

    7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?

    Both.

    8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? (If so, please state which games or types of games?)

I haven't played any mainstream game in a long time. I usually just play diablo 3, and some steam games. However, because my current laptops rocks a 970m... my gaming choices have been a bit limited.

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need?

    Battery life doesn't matter.

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?

I would be ordering it online. As long as it can be delivered in Japan, and has solid reviews, I dont need to see it in person.

    11) What OS do you prefer? Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Chrome OS, etc.

    Windows.

    Screen Specifics

    12) What screen resolution(s) would you prefer? (See further below for explanations.)

1920 by 1080 is fine. Ideally at least 144hz would be ideal.

    13) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen? (See further below for explanations.)

    Doesn't matter.

    Build Quality and Design

    14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?

I would prefer a cool look.

    Notebook Components

    15) How much hard drive space do you need?

    512 SSD or more.

    Timing, Warranty and Longevity

    16) When are you buying this laptop?

    Within the next few months.

    17) How long do you expect to use this laptop?

My current laptop (alienware 15 r1) I have used for 6 years. I would be happy to get 6 or so years out of the new one as well.

    18) How long could you afford to do without your laptop if it were to fail?

Depends if my current laptop dies. If he does, and the new one fails. I will be screwed as my job depends on my laptop.

    19) Would you be willing to pay significantly extra for on-site warranty, or would it be acceptable to you to have to ship the laptop to the vendor for repair with perhaps a week or more outage?

I'll pay the extra for on-site warranty if I have to.

I used to like Alienware, but the latest iterations have soldered RAM and WiFi.

I agree, it really is a shame they went this route. It's one of the reasons why I am really interested in the alienware area 51m but I am waiting to see what v3 has to offer. Getting a laptop now without a 30 gen GPU is such a waste nowadays...

Check out Alienware m15 and m17 R4. You like high refresh rates? Those have the option to have 300Hz refresh rate displays.

Not if you can get one with an RTX 2000 on sale/clearance. At one point, you could find an MSI GS66 with the RTX 2060 for $1,100 or less. The Dell Outlet is a great spot to find deals, too if you really want an Alienware.
