Thanks for the advice dude, I'd forgotten all about the principle of least privilege and had no idea how dangerous it can be on t'internet after only 20 years in the I.T. Industry.

    But seriously, thanks :)

Unsolicited advice is the best kind, right?

Does Windows 10 even have a "best build" yet? The revolving door of never ending beta roll outs would make it so you would never have a "final" version of a piece of software.
Microsoft's laziness, and lack of intuitive advancement will eventually become its downfall. They are a shell of what they were in the past. Creative innovation has been replaced with stale, and monotonous releases of bland software, as is the case with any monopoly.

@Woodking just stating the obvious because when home user start their computer they are the admin/owner without knowing this and this is what those malware and virus are expecting and most everyday users don't suspect this at all. That is what gives computer repair shops jobs and IT jobs guarantee. But on the flip side knowing this goes along way to the first line of defense as well. If they Password the Admin/Owner and then a good A/V that is the first line of defense. And no, I think those malicious virus and malware makers got more stealthy. Who would've thought that.

Windows 10 is itself a massive malware and privacy invader. That is why there are numerous 3rd party tools struggling to disable those things and fighting against Microsoft. I wish 10 has never existed. A real and biggest fail in Microsoft history.

I could not agree more Kimi, MS have definately lost their way with this OS and the direction they have gone in. Spying on users, installing adverts and telemetry and forcing compulsary updates that are not properly tested, which actually cause damage to previously perfect working order machines is appalling. No one asked for that yet it continues weekly and they don't seem to listen when its fed back to them.

IMHO they should have kept support for Win7 with a new service pack - giving them more time to properly design a new OS from the ground up, making sure it was rock solid before release and remove all the junk that no one asked for. There are so many 3rd party tools now it seems that many more users are getting wise to this invasion and doing the same as us, so MS's forcing updates for 'security reasons' has failed miserably.

Just this morning I had a neighbour out walking his dog complain to me that after a recent Windows 10 Update he cant find any of his documents or music and the onboard NIC has vanished from Device Manager meaning he cant access the Internet!

As Microsoft would say if questioned - "Yeah Yeah Yeah leave us alone we know what we're doing"!
