a twin scroll setup will cost you about 9grand as well.

and by lb/ft you mean psi? how many psi?

if you run 65psi you better be running like 150 octane or something.

Or are you talking about the size of the compressor wheel? alot of our cars go to about 55 but anything after that you get turbo lag.

625hp isnt considered THAT much power. its all about the power band

its just about how much money you got and what you want.

uh, on trucks things arenot measured in PSI. The gauge on my Peterbilt says lb/ft of pressure.
625 hp is alot of power, its a stock diesel engine with 2300ft/lbs torque at 525hp.

    it runs 37 octane biodiesel
The turbo is maybe 12" in diameter, and about 12" thick, with its 6" output hoses its generates a ton of boost.

I guess you never heard the expression,
real engines dont have sparkplugs :D

anything a gas motor can do, a diesel can do better

diesel is a different monster :D turbo diesels are beastly, but too bad they're limited by their low revving.

luckily where i live it never gets that cold. It gets cold, but I have it always in a heated barn with other equipment, so I only have to plug it in for about an hour and it fires right up.

The low revs are done for efficiency, there is no need for a diesel to push over 2300rpm. Their power curve is all based around compression, so as long as their is plenty of it, the engine produces a ton of power.
GM had the right idea about 35 yrs ago when the released their two stroke Detroit Diesels. They sound absolutely amazing, while being able to push 4700rpm I believe. Just youtube 8v92t or 6v92t and you know what I am talking about.
I have a 4 stroke motor, so it runs at a lower rpm, but sounds awesome.
Tis a shame Cat no longer makes on highway engines :(
