Question is in the title. The only convenient way I know of to read Blu Ray discs on Windows is via VLC. That said I know there are other options out there. Has anyone had any experience with some of those options?

MPC-HC is similar to VLC and will play at least some BR (I don't have large collection to test) also my BR burner came bundled with PowerDVD which supposed to play BR, but I have hard time to make it so, maybe need to upgrade to pay version, not sure, don't care since MPC is my choice player since like forever.

VLC will not run BD movies-whom ever told you that or read is giving misleading information. If not please provide the link to that information your getting that from? I myself don't recall VLC playing BD because they don't have the licensed Coded to Play BD format movies. You need either WinDVD 11 Pro or PDDVD to play BD movies.

There are a few free for PC Blu-ray players, and so far this one is the best one I have found, as it gets updates for new BD movies near to release as required, just like PowerDVD Ultimate (which is what I normally use):

    Leawo Blu-ray Player

For playing DVD's and video files including Flash, I still prefer MPC-HC

I believe DAUM Potplayer has BD support... though I don't own a single disc to test it with.

Quite strange their site Reviews are all 5 stars? Not a single 3 or 4 star or single star review? A software comes out and is all 5 stars Review? That to me is quite odd??? I think all the bad Reviews are removed and that to me tells me it's not good as they say it is.

IDK, I was 5 star happy when I found it a few years ago, as my new notebook didn't come with a Blu-ray player and after inserting a spare BD drive I needed software that cost less than $100 to play/test it.

It works fine, scan it with all the anti-virus/malware tools you can find if you like - I know I did that the first time.

Besides, there are 4 star, 3 star, and 2 star reviews, but there are no 1 star reviews.
