. . .a personal favorite. Actually have made my own gin before with surprisingly good results. Not much too it.

Agree. So refreshing and my choice for a hot summer day.

Assume you added juniper berries and other herbs to vodka? Strange how much more I like Bombay 80 proof over any other gin. After Bombay Sapphire came onto the scene, it's become hard to find the green bottle at a bar any longer. Still, I'll choose it to Tanqueray any day.

    Yes.

Not a huge fan of Tanqueray, but it's fine, with the Tanqueray Ten being a bit better. I like the Sapphire, and can't recall the last time I had the other. One I am really wanting to try by the renowned Bruichladdich Scotch distillery:

In my case it's cool and snowy winter evening :)

Bombay Sapphire is my preferred gin, but I never heard about the green bottle. Can you say its exact name, you got me intrigued, would like to find this one as well.

(Green label- not bottle) I find the 80 proof better balanced, and I can taste the herbal flavors (flavors in general) better than I can with the Sapphire. You can really taste the difference in a martini. And I get high enough with gin not needing the extra proof. Through my scientific research I found my ratio of gin to whiskey to be about 5 to 7. 5 dry martinis equal about 7 whiskey with a splash of water.

Oh this one. I mixed up proof with ABV. Was searching for 80% gin :D.

    Which do you prefer?

An unusual gin drink I rarely reach for, but in the right mood made by the right bartender is the Ramos Fizz.

Unfortunately never had the opportunity to try it, and from the looks of it can't seem to find it anywhere to buy in my region :(
