I just bought MSI Apache and feel little confused:
I was under impression it should have 2 msata ports, but I can find only one. I saw some Youtube where it was shown stacked right above Wifi card, but mine does not have it and there is no other visible port even remotely resembling second msata. Did I misread MSI pages and advertising again? (first time was the screen advertised as having wide viewing angle, presumably IPS, but it's not, regular Apache has TN panel with poor viewing angles, only pro has PLS).

the GE60 2PC has only one mSATA slot. MSI installed only in the major versions of the GE60 / GE70 2 mSATA slots (versions with GTX765M / 860M).

The Wide View Panel not available in any GE60 model. This was only introduced during the GE62. All other possess the normal TN panel.

Thanks for clarification with msata, 1 should be enough for me, but I'm pretty sure most reviewers claimed ge 60 Apache PRO has Samsung PLS panel, which I probably will purchase and replace on my laptop as long as the connector is the same. Both models were listed as having eDP screens , but it may not mean anything.

Im pretty sure my apache pro came with 2 msata slots. I assumed the vanilla apache did as well. They might be stacked on top of one another, similar to that of sodimm slots.

Vanilla apache is a TN panel. Apache Pro is the Samsung PLS, which I love and recommend.

I put a 480gb msata crucial m500 in my apache pro and remember seeing two msata slots.

Edit: I just checked xoticpc, which has customization options for Apache models as well as the Apache Pro. They only indicate 1 msata for the vanilla Apache customizations, but 2 for the Apache Pro. My assumption would be now that the vanilla Apache only has 1 msata slot.

    Thank you for everybody's input.
I checked it again, second Msata should've been to the left where wifi card is and sure enough there are lead traces where the connector should be, but they didn't bother to solder one in, saved about 35 cents on the wholesale price of connector, unbelievable, I wish I knew that before: between that lousy TN screen, bad touch pad and now missing msata port, I begin to regret purchasing this laptop. BTW my Msata drive is running way too hot to my liking, it's hitting 55C after light use with ambient temp of 23C, it will be hitting 70's C (max operating temp.) in the summer for sure under load, any ideas how to fix it?
