wear level now 11%

    now i know this isint normal, not even 6 months old and its at 11, what am i to do about this?

    Replace the battery, maybe? Btw, how often did you use the battery, because it should be last for around 2-3 years or more before it start to wear out for a new battery.

    This is Tyler27's original thread, oh btw next time dont just a "What", because sometime other might think you just trolling: wear level 5% after 2 months

    think dell will replace it?
    i use it on battery maybe once every few days maybe twice a week, and i always plug it in at about 35%

    i just checked for mine and for about 8 months usage i got 4% wear.

    Lithium ION batteries are a , they hate the cold and they hate the heat.

    They should be, if not then since your laptop is under a year which mean it also have that accidental warranty, so it will cover that as well. But it wouldnt hurt to give it a try. But that's weird because mine is around the same age as yours except for I rarely use the battery and the battery wear level on mine is still at 0%. I only use around 6 times since bought and that is for draining the battery once every month to keep the battery at its best.

    ok does this make any sense, my laptop was plugged in last night, turned it on this afternoon and there was 4% battery left

    Clearly something wrong with that battery, but like I said, only way to know if they going to allow you to replace the battery (it should be because it is one of the hardware) is to call Dell.

    ill call them tomorrow and see how it goes, it sucks that dell keeps making mistakes with these laptops
