nnnnoooooooooooooooooo :p not worth it yet on my corsair value sticks :D have done some half-assed stuff with XTU but u cant expect much from such modules. i may order a 2x8 gb kit in march tho. just not sure yet if i should go for 1866 corsair vengeance or for the low voltage 1600 samsung ones, since they have proven to be great overclockers (up to 2133, but that was with 4gb sticks).

    sorry for the OT

If XTU gives you the control then fine, that's with 4x4GB sticks.

Well does XTU make the changes permanently or only with XTU software running? Typhoon Burner actually programs the JEDEC table doesn't it? I dunno I'm just guessing.

Xtu does usually modify the bios settings themselves.

cool thing with xtu tho: if a setting causes a crash/black screen/blue screen/whatever, it automatically resets to default settings. especially handy when OCing RAM, since one doesnt have to do the whole "install faulty ram stick into running machine and flash it with default spd" kinda thing if the OC goes wrong

No, you use a stick at a slower rating to force the ram to slow down =) should run just fine without hot swapping.

I want a really portable gaming laptop, but I'm torn between the NP6110 and the W230ST. I don't know if I should just get the NP6110 or wait for the W230ST.

Does anybody know what the price range may be for 13 inch gaming laptops?
