come on xoticpc you should know all these by now
It's one thing to know, quite another to be allowed to share.
I've been procrastinating on getting my m17x R3 sold, but since the 15h is only a few weeks away, guess I should get a crackin'
How do you think this would compare to the 900p screen on a 2010 VAIO Z (VPCZ1)? Obviously the viewing angles would be better, but how about the crispness of the images and colors?
Is there any possibility that with a 4702MQ and a ssd, this laptop could achieve 5 hours for word processing and web browsing? I ask only because the Razer Blade was reviewed by the verge and had a 6 and a half hour run time, but it had a 70wh batery instead of 60wh that is in the w230st.
The longer I need to wait, the lower my Vaio S price will be.
I can't sell it now coz I need a laptop to do my work.
Slowly starting to lose interest.
Logical Blue One (One of Cleov's Australian resellers.)
I've stepped through an order via a Beverley Hills address (only postcode in US I remember ftw) and shipping works out to a *very* reasonable $50.
Of course, if you include the expected delivery time, you'd likely have it cheaper, sooner, with a more local warranty if you waited until the expected July 15th stock date in the US. (It's another fortnight; your Sony can't depreciate 2 more weeks?)
But if you absolutely must know numbers RIGHT NOW through some place that can give you firm dates and costs, it *does* exist. I just don't recommend you necessarily bite.
Edit: ignore me.
Don't worry, the guys from Illegear mentioned two or three days ago that it is coming real soon.
Well Anandtech reviewed the Razer Blade, the key points I took away were that the screen quality is abysmal with a contrast of 200:1 (for comparison W110ER got about 150:1 and the W230ST's 1080p panel gets 1050:1), it's a bad TN panel too so viewing angles are terrible. Oh, also slight potential thermal issues on the CPU which hits 90C under load. The only plus points I could find are that it's thin, shiny and has a bigger battery but I'll certainly be waiting for the W230ST mostly because I need a high res display for work and 16GB of RAM not 8
