    Hello,
As you can see from my signature I'm heavy ThinkPad user and old W series lover, looking to replace my W520 with something newer workstation solid with powerful specs (I'm ubuntu/Linux user)

Going to Lenovo's website I noticed there are 3 lines that has workstation replacements P53, P1 Gen 2, and P15s

I'm comparing things over there but wanted our NBR users to share any of their experiences in this thread if any :)

Thank you in advance, missing you all!

Well, it would all depend on your budget and the region you're in. If you're able to go balls-to-the-wall, I'd just say to get a P73 (or P17, if it's available yet) and call it a day. That aside, I also see that you use Linux. From what I understand, the P1 (can't remember the generation) plays nice with Linux. The YouTube channel FastGadgets has a couple of videos regarding Linux (Fedora in particular) on the P1.

Now if you go the P1 route, you and budget is being kept in mind, you might be able to save a little bit and get the X1 Extreme. It's physically identical to the P1, but has some different processor options and uses a GeForce GPU instead of Quadro. It's also worth mentioning that the ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock, which is intended for systems such as the P1, works with the X1 Extreme with no issues.
