And it is $669 cheaper than the same configuration on the new Dell XPS 15" 2 in 1 that is now up on Dell's site.

    HP Spectre x360 - 15t Touch Laptop

    512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
    Windows 10 Pro 64
    6-cell, 84 Wh Lithium-ion Battery
    Intel® Core™ i7-8705G (3.1 GHz, up to 4.1 GHz, 8MB cache, 4 cores) + Radeon™ RX Vega M Graphics (4GB dedicated memory)
Full-size island-style backlit keyboard with integrated numeric keypad (Dark Ash Silver)
    15.6" diagonal 4K IPS micro-edge BrightView WLED-backlit touch screen with Corning® Gorilla® Glass (3840 x 2160)
    16 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (2x8GB)
    Intel® 802.11b/g/n/ac (2x2) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 Combo
    HP Pen (dark ash silver)

I am strongly considering ordering one right now. I just wish there was a review up.

Memory looks modular according to the service manual. It may be using something like low-profile single-sided dimms (they have done that in a few elitebook's in the past), so standard 16gb dimms may not work.

Also, I am confused as to which model gets dual thunderbolt 3 ports (instead of 1x usb-c + 1x thunderbolt 3).

I wonder what kind of TDP HP has set on the processor if they are using a 150W power supply instead of the 90W that is used on the 8550u + MX150 model.

The Vega model has the two Thunderbolt 3.

    For models with Intel® Core™ i7-8705G processor:; 2 Thunderbolt™ 3 (Data Transfer up to 40 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge); 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (HP Sleep and Charge); 1 HDMI v2.0; 1 headphone/microphone combo

Are there flash drives that work with thunderbolt 3? I have zero experience with those ports.

And I just got Estimated delivery date: Apr 20. That seems like forever.

It'll be very interesting to see the battery life on it compared to the xps 15 2-in-1. Also I'm guessing it's the full 65w TDP that Vega GL has, compared to the throttled version of the XPS, so a performance comparison will be interesting too.

I think Dell have made a massive pricing error with their new xps 15" 8705g. which is £600.00 !!!!!! more expensive than the new HP Spectre x360 8705g. The dell doesnt have a finger print sensor, or volume rocker on the side, it doesnt have a numpad, we will have to wait several more months to get the stylus with tilt function, you have to pay extra £50 for a sleeve for the Dellm but ts free with with HP and the Dell looks plain boring and ugly. I cannot wait to get my HP spectre which i pre-ordered, due for delivery on the 10/04/18
