Yes, but this is kind of a on/off switch. I have no problems letting WU to update other drivers.

A follow up, I'm now using the latest Realtek drivers here. Those drivers have the "Equializer" version of the preferences, but I've found that there are two different versions of that panel, with different presets. Seems that Windows 10 have a default set, while Realtek has a custom set.

Anyway, I you are not satisfied with your audio experience, try this:

First try with the latest Realtek drivers: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
If you are not satisfied, try this version (be aware that WU is going to overwrite them): http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/DriversForWin8.1/Audio/Audio_Realtek_Win81_64_VER6017469.zip

Let me know how that sounds. I'm now using the latest drivers and the "live" equializer, but I believe the old non "equializer" drivers are better.

Sony has a small part on Vaio, so, who knows? But I'm pretty sure that Vaio is going to add something similar, since is common on premium laptops to have something to enhance the sound experience. Realtek is pushing hard Maxx (I saw it on Dell, MSI, Toshiba, etc).

MIne are 12.8.0.1016 8/1/2013. Have you tried to update them via "update drivers" from the Device manager?

Well do you have Raid on your device? because I do not on mine and this may be the issue.

    Slight off-topic question, but...

If you had to replace your VAIO Pro 13, what would you get?

People is talking nice things about the HP Envy 13, but the white-low-contrast keyboard bothers me.

I think nothing beats the thin bezel on the Dell.

    Thanks.

What about the post-Sony VAIO laptops? Would you buy a VAIO Pro 13 mk2 if it was available to you or are you done with VAIO laptops?
