    Hi Everyone,

We have a Duo 11 in the family that has been used lightly and carefully. We had no issues (apart from the common screen burn-in/ghosting) until a few months ago.

However, 2-3 months ago, the right side of the screen started burning out. It is gradually getting worse.

A few weeks ago, we also noticed that there are spots of some fluid-like thing - most likely the glue - under the glass. Those spots are getting larger too.

Given that the laptop hasn't been dropped or hit, and doesn't have water damage, do you know what the cause of those issues might be?
What's our best option to fix it (besides paying a fortune to a Sony repair center)?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

I have the same issue as your first picture. I am starting to wonder if it is simple a time issue with the technology. (being an old machine)

That does look like the LCD itself is becoming delaminated (layers separating). Probably many reasons why, but age and use are likely contributors.

I don't know if Sony even does repairs for Vaios anymore, given they spun the division off a few years ago.
