Hi guys, I noticed a problem with speakers on my ux32vd, the right one is louder than the left. I' m not sure if it is a common problem of these pcs, so now I'd ask you to check it. Open your realtek control panel during a song and try to put the balance all to left and all to the right, like that you will notice clearly if the problem exist also on your computers.
    Thank you guys

Did you ever get this problem resolved?

I just bought a UX32VD today. Backlight bleeding is tolerable but I'm getting left/right speaker imbalance as well.

The right speaker is about 2x as loud as the left one.

I don't want to use a software fix, since this is obviously an issue with the hardware.

    Hi,
before send it back, I think is better to know how many users have this problem. If everyone has this problem means that is a production issue and the only thing that we can do is to ask money back.
I read that a similar problem exist on a lot of mac book pro, from 2005 to 2010 at least. Some mac users notice that Apple used a 2 way speaker. In this model there are 2 speakers in one and one is louder than the other, maybe is the same with our ux32vd.
    Waiting for others experiences

It may or may not be a widespread problem. Haven't really seen anyone else mention any sort of imbalance issue on the zenbooks.

However it has happened on other Asus notebooks apparently.

I don't think Asus cares all that much. I doubt they have any sort of procedures to check for balance upon installing speakers. Workers just pop them on and that is it.

Was your audio imbalance fixed? Did you get a replacement unit?

BTW, the easiest way to test for imbalance is to right click on the volume bar, go to playback devices, right click on realtek, and test. It'll play one cue on the left and one on the right.

The right side on mine is somehow vastly different than on the left. It's twice as loud. Almost as if these are two completely different speakers.

I have a louder right speak too. Bang is quieter than Olufsen.

Yes, I've noticed this as well. I actually thought it odd when I opened up the laptop for an upgrade and noticed that the left and right speakers look different, the foil on one is shiny and the other is dull, I assume they were from different lots maybe. Then I noticed that the right speaker is louder.

Well, so much for Asus' level of quality.

I hope this isn't the case with most UX32VDs.

No, I think that the only solution for this issue is to balance it via software. I'm quite sure that if I ask for a replacement Asus will send me another pc with the same problem and maybe others. If everyone here has this issue it means that it is a mainstream problem like the bleeding and Asus wont help you.

Yeah I figure that would the case. It's a matter of luck if you get a unit with such problems or not.

Very disappointed that Asus can't even the speakers right. The UX32VD is a nice machine. Great concept. But poor quality control ruins it (i.e. the speakers, the screen, etc).
