    Hi

I’m currently still using my GS60-2QD. I spend a lot of time away with work so nothing heavier than the GE series. I use it for some gaming while away, and at home plugged into a 27” 3k monitor and external keyboard etc. I’ve upgraded the storage on the GS60 over time as you can never have enough storage. And I’m assuming that’s not going to change over the next few years.

I’ve been looking at the GS/GE73, the ease of upgrading on the GE has it with a slight edge on the GS, but I also like the 4K screen (have a friend with a GT75 with the 4K screen) and the slightly lighter weight on the GS series.

Does anyone know what the next refresh of both GS and GE series will get other than the what I assume will be the kaby lake-r processor. And more importantly when.

    Thanks

We are all waiting for the information from MSI. If you've enjoyed the power house in such form factor on your GS then it's definitely recommended still. GE is a bit of lesser performer compared to GS but still got some punch on it.

Thanks, Kevin. Just from reading the specs, I thought the GE was similar specs but different only in the weight/cooling.

GE is more on the value side but GS is above that segment.

Soooo..... I do like the look of the new GS65 but, It's going to be a massive PITA to upgrade the storage. After talking to MSI in Australia, they tell me that they are the only place that can do the upgrade without voiding the warranty.

Does the new GS73 8RF-017AU model has sufficient storage and the weight is not that much more. So what is the main difference between the GS and the GE models?

Any chance that the smaller dimensioned power brick from the GS65 would fit the GS73?

What thoughts on the latest version of the GS73?

    Cheers.
