Yes, that EVOO laptop from Walmart is a much better product by every measurement. It's made better and it's A LOT more powerful. The 6700H CPU and GTX 950M GPU in the one you posted a link to are obsolete and very weak by today's standards. In fact, the GTX 950M was even weak when it was new.

I figured as much when I purchased it for under $800, but I only needed it for occasional video conversion, a task it performed admirably. I’m looking to get into casual PC gaming with this new laptop. Do you think, in your professional opinion, that I could get that evoo laptop or a comparable one for under $900 on Black Friday? Thank you very much for your help!

You might be able to. You'll just have to keep your eyes open for a good deal.

You can get deals that good quite frequently, not just around Black Friday.

It's $950 at Walmart right now. I paid $999 for my Maingear Vector that has mostly identical specs as well.

I’d really like to get it for $750, but I would be willing to pay around $800. Thank you very much for your advice as well!
