Good afternoon, I am Brazilian, so excuse my English! I have an alienware m17xr4 with 1600x900 screen
I bought the screen this link:http://www.ebay.com/itm/LAPTOP-LCD-...-Full-HD-3D-/171706682532?hash=item27fa840ca4

Does anyone know tell me if it's 100% compatible? One guy said that my'll need a 3D emitter cable for use with this screen, otherwise it will not work

Can someone confirm me whether I really need this issuer 3d?
    Link esmissor:http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OEM-Gen...XX7CM-WWKT6-/301723050398?hash=item464018619e

I will also need this cable ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Genuine...JD3N-02JD3N-/111141341845?hash=item19e08a4a95

You can utilize the the 1080p 120hz screen , but you can't utilize the 3D part of the screen. Here is the reason why. You also need the special glass that is covering the lcd so the 3D will work.
One other issue is replacing the LCD itself , as the glass is glued onto the bezel.

You would need patient, heat gun and a thin flat bar to pry out the glass to install the screen.

All parts that are then bought 100% compatible? Can I be relieved?
I have no preference that the 3d work, just want the screen to operate in FULL HD

It should work. I don't remember the last time i changed out the screen in the m17x r4. Been awhile , but you have all the correct parts. I still have my 3D screen attached to the bezel.

oh look here it is from my for sale thread long time ago.

if you don't pull the glass out carefully , your screen will look like mine. ( I still have this screen , but laptop was sold with a new full screen)

So theoretically all the pieces I bought are 100% compatible? No need to worry about it?

To get the glass I'll use a hair dryer and a stylus, warming will double the face gradually and I'm dropping with stylus

I would recommend a flat piece to slide underneath the glass. What i used was a metal nail filer,

I will use a small blade, such as a small knife, here in Brazil we call stylus. Can be?

Regarding parts, all are 100% compatible with my m17x r4?

It's an eDP cable, so make sure to plug it into the right connector. Your panel is also eDP, so that's good.
    Yes, except the 3D bit.

    Off-topic:
Even with emitter and glasses 3D wouldn't have worked on the R4 according to this thread (@j95 ): Need help with screen upgrade. OP has an LP173WF2-TPA1 (id LGD02C5) and R4+3D would require a SEC5044, which is an LTN173HT02-*01. The *01 could be D01, P01 or T02. T01 may work too, but C01 certainly doesn't. It all seems a bit arbitrary ... although the TPA1 is 50-pin and the *01's are 40-pin eDP. Yet ... the mb connectors are both 44-pin and 40-pin 3D works too, only on a different system ... some clues:
Thinking ... if it does use whitelisting, then it'll look only at the panel's header (Lenovo and Sony do this, too). So if we flash an LGD02C5-edid-with-SEC5044-header; 3D approved! Reverse, too, if that's locked out as well:

AW 3D panels with spoofed edids.7z

(consider that as 'research byproduct' )
