You can't react that quickly really in the silicon world. It will take some sustained pressure to get Intel to change their tune.

The nearest you will come Intel 300 series chipsets to integrate USB 3.1 Gen 2 and Gigabit WIFI - Guru3d.com You're welcome:vbbiggrin:

As expected... BGA Trash will also come with 6C-12T as I have seen before.

"Intel 300 series desktop processor motherboard will be based on the current LGA 1151 socket. Earlier rumours stated that the 300 Series chipset's Coffee Lake-S processor will provide 6 Cores 12 threaded CPUS, which is Intel's first in the mainstream platform to enhance the number of processors and threads."

I'm hoping right with you. There have been a number of requests for something like this that I've seen.

Or the trilling "high end" 45W 6c/12t BGA = Processor Base Frequency around 2.5 and Max Turbo Frequency at 3.0GHz? If Intel is nice maybe 3.1GHz ? Bokmark it:oops:

There are rumours of 32 core server parts from AMD so intel would have to react to that for the work station market.

And here I am playing around with my new 6900K . My 5820K kicked the bucket. First time I've seen a defective CPU.

12c skylake-x if comes in a laptop, u gotta ditch that broadwell-E. new chipset itself is worth the upgrade as long as paired up more than 4c
