Yeah but they want a 10 core CPU a GTX 960m for Monitor output.

For those tasks being a generation or two behind but having twice the number of cores is an easy trade to make, it would not have made a difference to those people.

since i personally prefer cpu power house, you're right on the first point, i wouldnt mind a 960m but i'd prefer two 1080m in sli instead because i also play a lot of games and have needs for them on those vram.

on the 2nd note, generation or two behind was the reason that killed it for me, as i was anticipating haswellE to come soon + dmi 3.0, along with more than just 2 sata 6gbps ports, 64gb ram etc etc. im sure there are others like me as well.

besides, look at the trend now gx700 and gx800, those laptop with huge water cooling block, laptop themselves are huge. not to mention gt80s and gt83, also acer 21x. big laptops are being made, clevo shouldnt shy away from it.

Thank you all for the great discussion. This thread is the most important of the year. Clevo can do P570WM, surely they can do it again with Skylake-X, let's hope the best:)

Covering the ram slot was a shame but otherwise I never found it too bad :p

True, once you start taking more of the internal parts it really starts getting bitty.

well now there has been some changes, still unknown at this point but looks like ryzen shaped to be a well competitor. Intel up HEDT skylake-x to 12 cores.. http://wccftech.com/intel-12-core-24-thread-skylake-x-cpu/

could live with that, 12 cores clocked at 4ghz, with turbo boost 3.0 1 core running at 5.2-5.5 ghz. only thing now is clevo might not even bother making it.
