Unmounting USB3 connected drives

    Some where along the way I remember reading something about un-mounting drives, that where connected via a USB3 port, before unplugging them from a computer that was on. How is this done under win7?

    Just like any other USB device. Click on the icon on the tray at the right bottom corner and select the device to be detached.

    Sometimes you need to click on the up arrow to show the hidden icons and this will pop up a "folder" with some icons and one of them is the one to use to unplug the devices.
