Looks pretty hot to me but I'm not sure whether to upgrade to a T7500.

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T7250 (2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2-cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium - English
Base Warranty - 1 Year Business Hardware Support
    17.0" Widescreen WXGA+ (1440x900) TFT Display
    3072MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM (1x1024 + 1x2048 MB)
    160GB (5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive
    128MB nVidia® GeForce® 8400M GS
Fixed Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Drive including Software
Free upgrade from 6 cell battery to 9 cell battery

Code on the UK site is N0117011 and you've got to reduce warranty and go to the basket. Comes in at £504.08 including delivery.

T7500 would make it £598.08. Do you reckon it's worth the upgrade for things like encoding?

I'd be putting XP on it, so that's another £50-60.

    What do you think?

Yeah I know what you're saying. If it was £50 I probably just go for it. I could wait until office hours tomorrow and try on the phone to beat them down on the price via complaining about the lack of an XP option. However, such tactics depend on who you get in call center.
