    Ubisoft DRM Scheme Over?

Can this be true? Perhaps all of the PC gamer embargos have worked?

I might have to start supporting Ubisoft for good behavior.

Once the game is released, the picture will be much clearer.

I personally hope an active internet connection only on install is required, Heroes VI is being published by Ubisoft and it would be a chore having to keep playing the game with the old DRM scheme in place.

I was really excited about AC2 but resisted the temptation to purchase the game because of their rubbish DRM. I know many crumbled and still made a purchase. It could be that the sacrifice that some made has finally paid off. After all, the only way to vote against the greedy is with your wallet!

I think that they just realized that the money they were spending to maintain the DRM outweighed the amount lost due to piracy.

All I know is that Steam is having a weekend sale of 81% off some pack of Ubisoft games, and I'm not getting them because of their DRM. Even if they've fixed it or it doesn't apply to those games, it's the principle.

It seems that the DRM's been removed or something ._. I no longer see the notice on the steam page that mentions that it requires constant internet connection. It used to be there ._.

I never cared about the Assassins Creed series, so boycotting that shizzle was not a hard decision.

If it's truly gone I may have to buy Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific now. It doesn't show the "persistent online connection required" either. However Splinter Cell Conviction and Assassin's Creed do. Hmmm.
