Hey -- I have a Dell XPS17 -- my brother bought a Dell XPS15 (both with TV Tuners)....

Mine came with the antenna. His came with the antenna AND an adapter to go from laptop to normal cable.

Does anyone know the Dell part # for that cable? If you do, please let me know. I'd like to get it from Dell. Did anyone else have their TV Tuner come with this extra adapter?

Thanks -- I am hoping for something with a length of cable leading to the MCX, however (dongle type). I've seen a few out there. I bought some from China but they came with a different type of coax connector incompatible with F connectors.

These are some numbers my brother saw on the plastic bag the adapter was in (not sure if the antenna came in the same bag):

    TW-0PWGCX-00360-0C8-033I-A00

    AS078F9M001

Do either look like a part # Dell could work with?

Ok -- here is the official dell part # -- it is $3.99 -- but is backordered (of course)

DEL U252N .... this is an MCX (tv tuner) to RF (Type F connector Coaxial) conversion cable.

I am having the sam problem too..but it may be solved using e-bay. The cables/ connectors may not be exactly what you are looking for but Im pretty confident it can be narrowed down to get what you / we are looking for.

I called Dell about the "missing" adapter and they sent me a bit of a care package, to include a mini-port-to-VGA adapter (a $33 part) and the U252N dongle. Great, now how do I use it? Plugging into the port on the laptop is obvious, but most coaxial cables in this part of the world use F-connectors and they don't fit. Do I need an adapter for my adapter so that I can finally connect the laptop directly to my cable TV service? I'm hoping to record some programs once I get this figured out. You know, that whole Windows 7 "Recorded TV" thingy?
