I wonder if anyone from Gigabyte reads these threads. I’m interested in this model over the MSI GS65, but the keyboard issue makes me want to hold off.

    Thank you for posting this!

    15w vs 15x:
    - I came from a MSI GS63VR (i7-7700HQ GTX 1060)
and I notice substantial performance increases.
    - Also note, the 15W has a SATA SSD while the 15x has a PCIe, so that also makes up about

    Keyboard issues:
    - I totally noticed the right shift key, but the rest looks great
    - Typing seems great, regardless of what reports say. Once in a great while a key doesn't hit right.

Mh i was torn between the gs65 and the 15w and wanted to buy the 15w after reading about the „low“ build quality of the gs65... NOW i am torn again After reading about the keyboard chattering...

I really have not seen any of that. If anything, I occasionally have had a key NOT register, but it's when I try to show off and type really fast, so I probably am not actually pressing it down all the way

I'm also in the same case. Did a clean install and removed the recovery partition so no way to get it back and cannot run Smart Manager :(

    see post

not true. v8 is affected just like v7. I have tested both models.
