What is the deal with this utility software?

It claims %100 sRGB but I don't understand how software would make a difference? Is this a color profile specific to the laptop?

I clean installed my computer and got this software from the support page, so I know it can't be loading a profile specific to my panel.

If anyone has some information about this software I would appreciate it. Should I install it, or is it 'bloatware'?

Yes, there's internal database that goes with the software but the system must be on the supported list, see below FAQ.

It's not bloatware and it works 100%. It intalls the color profiles for most if not all screens for various MSI models. You don't see them but that's what it uses to load different profiles when you choose them.

If you go to your C:windows/system32/spool
drivers/color folder you'll find all the color profiles that are installed on your pc.Most if not all are default windows installs.
When you use your own spectrophotometer hardware device and compatible quality software to calibrate a screen or printer the created icc profile is deposited in that folder. The best icc profiles are produced using a spectrophotometer on your specific screen/monitor.

If you purchase, acquire or create an icc profile with software alone for your screen it probably won't be as good but much better than the windows default.

As everyone already pointed out, it does work, and personally it makes a huge difference.
