    Hi,

I received my Clevo N150RF1 without OS, so I was trying to install Ubuntu on it, but I encountered some problems. I tried installing Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04 but encountered the same problems.
After the installation, that runs without problems, I want to reboot the notebook but the little processing-circle just keeps turning and turning, for the entire night and nothing changes. Then, when I restart "by hand", I can log in but all that happens is that the login form disappears the little processing-circle reappears and nothing much happens.

Is anyone familiar with the problems? Have you encountered them yourself? I have been looking on the net for a while, but couldnt really find a solution or even a really fitting description of the problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Taking a real shot in the dark here but be sure secure boot is off and if there is an option boot to legacy or CSM bios rather than EFI.

I would try booting with the nouveau kernel module disabled (with nouveau.modeset=0 kernel param). That Clevo has Nvidia GM206 I think which nouveau probably doesn't support. If its the issue, and you do get into your new install, you can grab the nvidia-361 packages which will give you a working driver and blacklist nouveau on bootup.

I highly suggest installing nvidia-361, it's a very good driver for me on Linux and definitely fixed nouveau-related issues I was having (freezing, etc).
