    The performance looks pretty good.

With that said, based on the testing that Ultrabookreview has done (link below), the 180W power charger Acer included isn't enough to supply the 2080 max q version of the laptop with the required power under load. As a result, the battery discharges even when plugged in which is terrible and degrades the battery and its life over time.

The Asus Zephyrus GX701 which Ultrabookreview also reviewed comes with an adequately sized charger of 230W for it's 2080 max q version.

180W power supply is terrible on their part, why are they going cheap here?

keyboard flex, flimsy lid, I guess im out. I was hoping for more of a razer blade build. Its was hard to tell from the CES pictures. Looks alot like the GS65. Wonder if they colablorated.

The sad part is the Triton 700 was a premium laptop. For whatever reason they really just cheaped out this time around. Very disappointing.

It’s to bad because I really like the overall design of this laptop, not worth the 3 grand in my eyes.

Notebookcheck just published their Triton 500 review with the 2080 MQ. Surprisingly, they mention that the 180W charging brick powers the laptop sufficiently.

On the other hand, Ultrabookreview says that during gaming load the battery discharges with the 180W charging brick.

My personal thought is that 180W isn't enough as every other 2080 MQ laptop ships with a 230W charger but now I'm not certain...

    Thoughts?

I'd be wary since the other manufacturers use 230w psu. It could be whatever game they were using were not drawing enough juice to drain the battery while plugged in. While the other was playing something more demanding.

Personally after the flipped motherboard and now the small psu I have no interest in buying from acer again.
