Trade value: Alienware 13 R3

    Hey guys,

    I was thinking that the Alienware 13 R3 isnt for me, but I would still like to have a laptop with more meat on the bones.

    I see the Tornado F5 on ebay for about 750 USD and got me thinking.

    What is the likelihood of someone trading one (hypothetically) for my AW 13 R3?

    Turns out I just cant put down the modding itch, and the 8700k/1080 seems like a lovely next step over my previous adventures with the Alienware 17 R1.

    Question is, are the values about the same? I bought mine used for 800 late last year and I see one on ebay for 750. P775TM1 or its derivatives are too expensive and I have replacement fans that would work with the F5.

    This is of course the 13 R3 in my sig, and with a 1TB SSD.

    Would love to hear your thoughts

    maybe 350-400$, there is not much demand for the 13 r3 without the OLED panel

    Interesting, if that is the case ill just keep it.

    RAM and SSD alone are basically that price.

    I am in a similar position with my razer blade pro. The gtx 1060 machines just don't bring much these days. Instead of giving it away for cheap, it just makes more sense to keep it as a backup computer in case something goes wrong.

    350-400 Trade? Are you serious? Lol

    Likely around 500 at a bare minimum to a very high of 700 due to Alienware branding name
