Do any of the common WinXP Toughbooks come with built-in IrDA ports? I know there are USB-IrDA adapters available but they seem to require WinXP, so it might be about as easy to get an older Toughbook with a built-in IR port instead of buying an adapter and rounding up a copy of XP to load on some other old computer.

    Thanks.

Thanks; I'm not sure that would work for data transfer. I don't have experience with IrDA but that device seems aimed specifically at emulating IR remotes.

I think CF-28 comes with an IrDA port, and the later S models came with WinXP and drivers.
