What about CF-18? What parts are interchangeable? I found a CF-18 without AC adapter and HDD caddy...I have also a CF-73 and the AC adapter I think is fine for CF-18. Can I take the HDD caddy from another model? I can't find a CF-18 caddy.

    Thanks!

    The ac adapter will work
The cf-18's all use the same caddy ,but it's a different caddy than other Toughbooks

So I will think about buying it. If I count the caddy+HDD+charger it will be the same as buying one which is complete.

    Thanks for help!

Do the CF-29 floppy drives work on a CF-30? They don't make internal floppy drives for CF-30s as far as I am aware

    No they don't
I use a usb floppy drive when needed, but even bios updates on the cf-30 are done within windows

Well not internal, but I have one of the old Toshiba PCMCIA FDD that I used briefly on my CF-29 with XP. It worked and booted fine. I have not tried it in Win7. I see them all the time in Hamfest flea-markets for $5.

The CF 50 and CF 51 keyboards are interchangeable. I am using a 51 keyboard on my 50 to type this. It looks a lot better than the white one.
