Has any vendor released a BIOS that "patches" ZombieLoad, RIDL, and Fallout?

From what I've gathered it's a hardware exploit so a Bios or windows security update can really only be reactive. KB4499154 patched the related exploits for the time being. But without disabling hyper threading there is no way to completely protect yourself at this point from future exploits. The only real fix is to eventually buy new hardware.

Which leads me to wonder if anyone down the road will go the class action lawsuit route on Intel. I'm not sure what protections Intel writes into their user agreements but I'd wager that they have their ass covered from a legal perspective already.

So we're pretty much just hung out to dry until a future hardware revision fixes this.

If enough people gather, no matter what the EULA says, it'll be somewhere very hidden under a lot of legalese and convoluted language. There's only so much an "agreement" will protect when it is overly unfair towards the customers.

Soo... I was bored and decided to wrap the laptop lid to match the current color scheme. I think it came out pretty good. Thought I'd share.

I have recieved my laptop (9750h with RTX2070) but in tests with Far Cry 5 the results are the same as with my ex-clevo with 8750h amd RTX2070mq.
Perhaps Far Cry is CPU bound...

In Cinebench R15, the score is 1310. Which is a tad higher. Firestrike GPU score is 21k+. So that looks good.

Oh - that's curious indeed, I would have expected that combo to outperform the "ex-Clevo" setup at least on the GPU side, even with a more CPU reliant game, no?!
