I'm talking about thermal limits of the unit. Paste is not a factor; assume to be the best possible

Wow, some good news around here !

@VonPaul Your script is exactly what I was looking for a few months ago: overriding Gaming Centers' xtu profile. However I think I missed something that propery let me understand how you use your script. So here are a bunch of questions for you.
You say it gives you the ability to set the CPU's power up to 90W, but i thought that i7 8750H can only get up to 65 or 75W in short power boost, right ?
And why do you set your power value to 30W when we know that 8750H's TDP is 45W ? Was your main goal to limit power enought in order to play silently ?
If so, I guess you get 1265+ CB score with 90W power limit (and not 30W), right ?

Do you or anyone of you know if that script also work with other BIOS+EC versions and latter Gaming Center versions ? (I just saw 1.2.2.8 on Mechrevo's website !)

@eiraku your picture of replaced keyboard looks very hopefull to me, because I'm still looking for "brown switch" keyboard ! You got directly from Illegear right ? Gosh, i'm wondering when it will be available somewhere with french layout...

Wonder if that power increase could help this i9 thing since that goes to about 75+ under turbo load.

Help, from one day to another, while I play the tdp of my cpu for a long time it stays at 33w causing the frequency to drop to 3.33ghz with its fps drops, before it could play perfectly at 3.8ghz and it did not go down in No time, what could happen? In intel xtu, the only thing that indicates is power limit throttling ...
If I do a stress test to the cpu with intel xtu it is maintained all the time at 3.8ghz (I have undervolt at -145v.)

PLEASE HELP!!!!!! I have updated the bios of pcspecialist to the last one here and the ec, now nothing else to start the temperature is at 95ºC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously the fan is all the time to the fullest, and tending throttling all the time! HELP!!!!!!!!! what do I do now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    ---
Update: I downloaded the version of the bios to 1.04 (first go down to 1.03 and then went up to this) and everything has returned to normal, I do not understand what could have happened before, incredible ...
The EC is still in the latest version, is there any way to put the 1.25 pcspecialist back without risk? Apparently everything is ok, but should not have a problem with pcspecialist for being that updated to the latest version?

Maybe you didn't loaded default value on bios after the bios upgrade.
It's very risky downgrade EC, so don't downgrade it

Yep mine is straight from the fine folks at Illegear.

Don't worry about the French version, it should be out in time. If you're impatient though, you can always peel the old French caps off the old KBB and transplant them over to an International "Brown" KBB assembly. The caps are actually mix-match-able (and with very little effort too - you can just peel them off with your fingernails).

They won't feel as good to type on vs the XMG-likes unfortunately but at least they'll be in the right layout.

And you can probably sell the caps to international folks who want a "slight" upgrade to their GK5CN typing experience (vs a full switch/cap retrofit).

The sad thing is that no reseller is as good as illegear. Noone will replace our old keyboard. I wrote a lot of times to PCS and they don't provide any spare parts to normal customers

That's rather unfortunate, but I'd pretty much agree that they're rather good for the barebones assembler that they are - and I'm pretty thankful to say the least.

On the flip side, last time I was there, I did hear guarded whispers that they are trying to figure out International Order details for GK5CN parts, considering they've already gotten more then a few out-of-state inquiries in already about the Brown-Switch KBB and new Caps.

Nothing concrete yet, but they ARE considering it.
