Is the M.2 slot M.2 sata or M.2 Pcie? What length is the slot?

I'm seriously, seriously thinking about grabbing the corp deal in a day or so and selling my T430s and grabbing a FHD non-touch with the bottom i5 and robbing my T420s of the 8GB stick. I'll stick out the stock HDD and go M.2 with Linux.

I played with the x250 at the shop and found one usability problem for me. the buttons for the trackpoint. I'm used to it being a raised physical button above the trackpad and now my thumb finds the built-in button merged with the trackpad, hard to identify and click. I'm aware that all the x50s lineup will have the same; but it feels like a step-back rather than a step forward.

I have the t410 and now the t430 as my personal laptops.

You must have used a X240, because the X250 has physical buttons above the trackpad.

X250 heading my way. Any Linux users in here? What BIOS did yours ship with and how did you manage a BIOS update?

Is everyone satisfied with their x250? I can get one with corp discount, but if the slickdeals 35% off is still valid or a similar deal that will be cheaper. How much is a compatible 1x 16gb module going for? I would need 16gb or more of ram.

The 35% deal is over. I have a X250 in shipment now so I'll let you know. The single 16's are EXPENSIVE. Wait if you can.
