I don't believe this option exist, at least not that I remember.

Why are you not using the trackpoint?

You mean the red nub in the middle of the keyboard? I'm trying that out also.

    Two more questions:

    1. Why does my battery show 99% and not charging? It appears from the Vantage battery report my "remaining capacity" while plugged in and no longer charging is 56.87 Wh and my Full Charge Capacity is 57.42. But charging is stopped at 99%. I do not have a Battery Charge Threshold set.

    2. Where is the recycle bin icon in my system tray?? Can't find it or how to show it.

Thanks, still moving a LOT of stuff and reinstalling a lot of stuff from my old Alienware. Then time to change my sig file here. ;)

Not sure about question 1, my x1c6 charges to 100%.
for 2), right click on desktop, select Personalize. Then go to Theme tab, scroll down, then click Desktop icon settings.

Also, I wonder if you have fan noise problem? Like something hitting the fan blade and generates a high frequency noise?

    Thanks I'll try that.

No fan noise, even though the bottom is pretty warm.

Something is inside this heatsink, not entirely sure what, I will remove later on.

Battery doesn't normally charge to 100%, maybe if you start from a lower percentage it'll go to 100%.

I recommend using lenovo vantage and setting start charge threshold to 70% and end charge 95%. It'll stop microcharging of your battery and make it last longer.

You mean your fan has the noise as well?
Actually I listened to a x1 yoga 3 a few days ago, and it also generates the same noise. So I wonder if it could be the problem of the specific model of cooling fan being used.
Anyway, I already ordered a replacement and will update when it arrives.

Yes it does, I'm going to see if I can get a replacement.

Hmmm. Breand new X1C, I mentioned earlier that the battery was showing 99% at fully charged, but this morning I start it up in battery mode (been keeping it connected to the charger) and it's showing 6 hours/97% left on the battery meter. That's just booted up with nothing at all running.

I thought with light loads they were touting 12+ hours on this machine?

The battery meter actually takes a while to update. Try wait for a few minutes and see how long it estimates.
Just as reference, my battery estimates around 15 hrs when 100% charged, with no program running at front. And for a chrome, pdf, word running, it estimates about 12 hrs.
Forgot to mention, but I did go through Phoenix's win10 tweak to turn off several features. Not sure if that helps.
