I can say that image is not of a X1E3, since it's lacking the new f9-f11 function key assignments (notifications, call pickup, call end). Of the three original assignments, I liked the BT key, but oh well (the "user assigned" key cannot do it).

Modern standby is basically guaranteed (yuck). Still does not consistently work and just regresses to hibernate after a few hours. This even happens on MSFT's own first party hardware (Surface).

    Comet Lake - junk CPU.
GTX1650Ti - copy+paste of Dell XPS15 specs in this department. Looks to basically be a 1650, as far as we're concerned.
CAT16WWAN is new, since the old X1E lacked the M.2 2242 (3042?) slot used by most WWAN cards. Unless if they are just sacrificing the second M.2 2280 slot, lol.
14 hours battery life MM14 - same claim as the current laptop. Expect 80Whr battery, again.
I'm not expecting much from speakers unless if they magically become top firing.

I wouldn't say CometLake is junk, it's more an indication of how bad Bulldozer was than anything. That said I tip my hat to anyone who buys this thing, it needs come with a set of earmuffs and a portable battery brick. Having briefly owned the 4k X1E gen1 I don't see this laptop getting more than 4 hours of battery life tops. Attempting to cool this thing is going to be a nightmare unless they've radically updated the internals.

The only thing stopping me from purchasing X1E2 is its poor speakers. If they could make it as good as X1 Carbon Gen 7 speakers, I would be happy.

The temperature of my X1E2 is getting annoying. Really not properly usable on the lap. Anyone share that sentiment?
