This is inspired by where a thread is used to link to feeback and list all gear.

As of now, assume that standard forum rules apply to links in this thread.

    Here is how this works:

Signatures are limited in size, forum posts aren't really. (technically they are, to a few thousand characters)
So, you post a post in here, just ONE per person, and then link to this post in your signature.

You might have noticed that you will get a popup with just your post if you click on the post number - this is the link to put into your signature.

You can list all things in one post here that you would like other people to see. If you have 10 laptops and want to show off - you can. If you have one and want to list detailed specs, you can. Basically, one post to extend the amount of information that is accessible from your forum signature.

    Random Stuff

    * I like German cars - my current car is a 2006 Volkswagen Golf MK5 1.6 FSI (it's not a diesel!) Hatchback with a modified frontend, backend, sideskirts, Eibach Pro Kit + Koni FSD suspension with genuine BBS wheels! I named thee "Marvelous Grace" or "Gracie" for short. The fastest I drove it is 120 MPH... legally on the German Autobahn of course.
    * I have an Economics Degree but I'm a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) too which is a bit random! Apples & Oranges?
    * I'm also a Level 2 Personal License Holder, in other words I have the qualifications to sell alcoholic liquor!?
    * I prefer Tea to Coffee.
    * I get depressed if I get less than 10 hours sleep, no actually I get depressed regardless how much sleep I had.
    * I have haters. Deal with it.
    * I'm spectacularly bad at completing Video Games - RPG ones especially.
    * I'm not a fan of this vBulletin HTML table XenForo thingy - Sorry.
    * I'm a rare sighting on Steam from what I've been told...
    * Back in the day me and Star Forge goes together like Bread & Butter. Hell he even let me stay in his Pancake Fortress!
    * Me & Convel are insomniac buddies.
    * I dunno why people still keep calling me "Hearstie".
    * Sorry Datamonger but Noire is da best.
    * I admit Lucky Charms cereal is tasty... but why does it cost £5 (~$7.70 USD) a box over here!!!
    * I like cute things...

    As a note:
Posts in this thread will be moderated in the same way as posts anywhere else on this forum, and not as signatures. A post here is just the same as elsewhere; this thread just provides a convenient place to put it.

    A few condensed pointers:
Thanks, and have at it! ;)

(DetlevCM, feel free to put this in your OP if you like; I'll then remove this post to keep this thread clean.)

    Acer 6920g

    Windows Vista 32
    Intel T5750 Core Duo 2.0ghz (upgraded to P8600 2.4ghz)
    4GB 800mhz DDR2
    320GB 5400RPM
    ATI HD 3650M 512mb

Superb Multimedia facilities with a very user friendly left handed touch module to control your Audio and Video. Performance was average but at the time had a dedicated graphics card which handled most games well (World of Warcraft mostly in 2009) and a unique subwoofer setup and upward facing fan vent.

    Asus G70S

    Windows Vista 64
    Intel P9300 Core Duo 2.5ghz
    4GB 800mhz DDR2
    2 x 500GB 5400RPM in RAID 0
    Nvidia 8700M GT SLI 512mb

Well made and fancy features with excessive lighting effects and a digital display. It performed well at release but the 8700M GT even in SLI really could not handle intensive games in any comparison to the 8800M GTX SLI and it came with heat and a higher power consumption. Should have gone with the XPS.

    Asus G73JH (Best Buy Version)

    Windows 7 64
    Intel I7 720QM 1.6ghz (upgraded to 920XM)
    8GB 1066mhz DDR3 (Upgraded to 1333mhz)
500GB 7200RPM (Added kingston 96GB SATA II SSD)
    ATI HD 5870M 1GB

Without doubt my favourite model, from purchase it brought with it problems which I fought against but it never let me down. The performance and power along with upgradability, looks, style and finesse made it the best model I have owned to date it had it all. I put in numerous hours in my efforts to upgrade and improve it and achieve all that I could from this superb laptop.
