    Actually, you can get a separate "clean" power feed from PG&E, depending on the area it might require another pole(s) along the street in addition to the separate line drop to bring the power on the street to your house.

    You can often get it for free, or subsidized cost, although in some rural areas it's going to be prohibitively expensive.
