Would one of you guys who has the GTX 1080 , get me the part number for the 6 pin cable that is connect from the gpu to the motherboard.

I thought I was getting one from my seller.

I need the part number so it can be easy for me to order from MSI when I go inquire on it. Thanks in advance.

Edited: Wrong Thread , But I did just upgraded from a gtx 1070 to a gtx 1080 so my information is valid. lol

What kind of Temps are you getting? My system idles 36 - 40 Celsius. And when I play some games , it hit mid 60-70 Celsius. I made a custom laptop cooler that it sits on. It has 3 120MM fans cooling the laptop. :D

I upgraded my GPU to GTX 1080 (with no power connector), along with all new heat sinks.

Is that on sport mode? And what processor are you running, I have the 7820HK and a 1080 as well? Under the Heavensward Benchmark I seen my cpu hitting 80ish with Titan Cooler boost, with it off I've seen it spike to 95ish, I think my cpus max temp is 100 ><, video card ran 87ish? I think mine must have a problem.... because I'm not idling that low.

You change the paste? The Factory paste is sometimes dry like an desert.

I haven't opened it up yet due to the factory seal, I bought it off ebay from another guy and registered it today on MSI they lady on the phone told me I have a year warranty on it? I'm guessing ether clogged up (I blew it out but no dust) or like your saying thermal is dry as hell, if I disable the turbo boost though temps are good, I know its still doing updates and stuff to so no way to know the real idle till it settles down but I still feel its a bit to hot, I had it on my cooling pad to but I don't have the nice 120mm fans like Rengsey above.
