What turbo ratio settings for the 8850H do you guys recommend? Intel XTU and Dragon Center allowed changing it (though I uninstalled the latter). Was that just to push all cores to the max 44? (Normally only 1 core hits highest).

Or something else? Or leave it at default?

    Any other settings to change?

I think that you only will get a stable system at 4.3Ghz in all 6 cores.

Hey so.. I know people don’t generally like BGA junk books but I ordered my msi gt75 with the i7 8850h GTX 1080 so I was wondering if we can tinker with the BIOS and get max performance with stable cores and thermals on it.. I’ll be receiving mine from HIDevolution and can’t wait to optimize it. Any information is much appreciated:) (i didn’t have the budget to go for the i9 sadly in order to get the screen ,thermals, ram and storage upgrades)

    Idling at 80C? [IMG]

That is not an undervolt issue! Either the heatsink is bad or the thermal paste is crap

Yeah, fix the underlying problem before you undervolt. The opposite way is only to fool yourself.

    Hi guys,
I'm wondering if it is possible to use Bitlocker on MSI GT75? Apparently you should ideally have a hardware chip called TMP, but intel also has a chip. There seems to be a way of doing it without it but then you need bios support.
I make computer games for companies and they need this security if the laptop gets stolen.

    Cheers,
    Andreas

I doubt that the laptop presents 80 º C only in idle.
