So I reinstalled from an older pre-1803 version of Windows 10 and then let it update itself. It has not gotten to the troublesome version yet, even though it says it can't find anymore updates.

BUT the problem did appear in this second to last (October I believe) version. Windows Update couldn't connect. So I disabled fast boot and the problem didn't go away.

So then I uninstalled the Killer Wi-Fi and reinstalled using Intel drivers:

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28275?v=t

And it seems to work. Windows finished updating. But it hasn't gotten to whatever the newest version is (1809? Nov 2018?).

Either way, it seems to be a driver issue with the Killer Wi-Fi. Not sure if it's only MSI laptops experiencing it at the moment though.

Do you guys recommend keeping the preinstalled MSI truecolor and dragon center?

Also, is best way to undervolt in BIOS or is Intel XTU enough? I used Intel XTU for my old Alienware primarily and it worked great, though it was annoying to have to constantly re-apply the settings.

Killer drivers are ancient, they're like 4 month old now.

these are the latest Intel driver which will work on the Killer 1550 since they're the same Intel card but rebranded with the Killer crap:

    Killer 1550/Intel WLAN Driver 20.100.0.4/Bluetooth 20.100.0.4

Get all the updated drivers in the future from here:

Whatever changes you do to the settings in XTU or BIOS will be reset after you reboot by Dragon Center.

For example, you need to up the ICCProcessorCache AKA VR Current limit to 200A from the default 144A to prevent throttling but Dragon Center keeps resetting it back to default.

So uninstall Dragon Center then do the changes you want with either XTU or the BIOS if you have the unlocked BIOS if you bought it from HIDevolution or gotten the unlocked BIOS from Svet on the MSI Forums

Spoke too soon... everything works except Google Chrome which is being finicky as hell as soon as I sync it to my Chrome profile. Tried Chrome beta, doesn't work either. I have no idea what to do except just not use Chrome anymore. What a weird problem to have.

Edge/Explorer work fine. Everything else seems to work fine.

Updated wifi driver to 20.100.0.4 and Chrome still doesn't work. Everything else but Chrome works. Wtf...
