The Sleeves are usually for the thin gaming 17.3" laptops:
    https://us.msi.com/collections/pages/MSI-Adeona-Backpack.html

This looks like the thinnest "thick" 17.3" (review said 17.5" fit) sack, and it comes with some fun MSI Collection goodies too:

Backpack, Neck Pillow and Lucky Dragon Mini Block

I can't tell if this is only for 15.6" or if 17.3" will fit too, but the dimensions suggest it's a fit:

Hey man! I already have that:

Backpack, Neck Pillow and Lucky Dragon Mini Block
    https://www.amazon.com/MSI-9571013-Gaming-Backpack-Pillow/dp/B01M0D45WX

It was included when I ordered my 6RF from HIDevolution. What I would like is a sleeve that I can put my laptop so that it's protected from anything that can scratch it inside the backpack. I'm currently using the cloth that came with the laptop out of the box to cover it. I don't like it since it's only a cloth, can't do much and it's hard to hold it when I put it with the laptop inside the backpack since it's thin and would rip if I hold it incorrectly.

I have never found a sleeve for thick 17.3" gaming laptops, they are always too thin. Even when some could stuff one in a sleeve by stretching it to it's limit, they complained the tight fit wore off the finish on their laptop.

I haven't seen a sleeve yet, and that's why I posted those two slim cases. The other one, not the one you got, looks even thinner.

For a while I used the thick white foam covering some of my laptops come in, but they broke down too quickly.

Now I find a backpack with a section that fits the laptop and then I don't put anything else in that compartment with the laptop, so the laptop isn't rubbing up against anything except the compartment material.

Thanks man! I'm looking for different laptop sleeves in amazon and found these:

    https://www.amazon.com/Evecase-Diam...&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=laptop+sleeve+17&psc=1
It says it's compatible with the MSI GT70 series in it's info.

    https://www.amazon.com/Water-resist...d=1491042457&sr=8-9&keywords=laptop+sleeve+17
this can even alienware 18 laptops.

    https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-Noteb...=1491042397&sr=8-14&keywords=laptop+sleeve+18
I'm not sure about this one.

I'm not really sure though any of these if not all would fit the 6RF.

Well, you could buy them all and try them, to see if any will fit. Amazon has a good return policy, and get Prime if you don't have it already for even easier returns.

So far they all seem to fit the thinner half of the large gaming laptops, some with long edge loading might work best so you could keep the "fat" end out, and fit what will fit inside the sleeve - at least protecting most of the laptop.

These new Pascal models are even thicker at the butt end than the Maxwell models, so I don't think we can rely on reviews done from that era.

Please let us know what you find :)

I really Really recommend ASUS Nomad v2 () . that is fit on my 7RF, even I can put my cooling pad and HPcompact laptop + so many other things. the material is really good and its is much more better than the backpack that MSI sent to me (https://www.amazon.com/MSI-9571013-Gaming-Backpack-Pillow/dp/B01M0D45WX/ref=sm_n_au_dka_SE_pr_con_0_1?sigts=1491060547152&sig=3fb0430714f85ec23e0dcabcc3c0d681e4de8c39&adId=B01M0D45WX&creativeASIN=B01M0D45WX&linkId=917e37ef9af31ac3dbfdcdde76bb8576&tag=technolf071-20&linkCode=w41&ref-refURL=http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-official-msi-gt73vr-owners-and-discussions-lounge.794968/page-549&slotNum=0&imprToken=BQ1vb764t.sxIrR0WiyXlQ).
