Will the "new" 144Hz IPS display of the GT75 work on our trusty GT73VR? What do you think? I have the nvidia 1080 model with a 4K screen but I plan on changimg to a faster refresh 1080p one.

Would require a mod. Contact SVET from the MSI forums and he will write a bios mod to make the backlight work (I'm assuming out of windows safe mode) and Nvidia drivers install. But you need to already have the monitor as he would need some EDID information. Send him a PM and ask him before you buy it to confirm.

No idea if gsync would work or not.

Can somebody post a picture the spots so I can place the thermal pads on a 1080?
Also what thermal pads you’re using?
    They’re must be specific thickness?
    What’s the best?
    Thanks

Hey guys, my warranty will be up in 2 more months, anything I should check or do before it is up? By that I mean I think I remember someone on here mentioning to ask for a new cpu/gpu fan as they were known to make noise and they would ship them out to you if you told them you can install them. I suppose I can't get a new 1070 even though I have a a borked 1st gen that needed the vbios fix to limit voltage
