I am starting this thread because I feel this series is noteworthy and deserves discussion. I loved my previous GT72 Dominator Pro, and to me it was my favorite 17" platform, but now I am WOW'ed by this new series. Not only do we see nice improvements and more frills, but LOOK at the choices amongst the SKU's..... from single 1070 and 1080 models, to SLI 1070's..... at considerable varying prices, in truth, any of these should game very nicely. If I were not committed to my GT83VR purchase, I'd certainly have my eye on one of these.

    Check em' out!

    The MSI GT73VR series......

And here is Ken's video review of the 1080 model..... Very Nice!

    Enjoy!

    :)

    I am currently looking at GT83VR 1070SLI or GT73VR 1070 SLI or GT73VR 1080
Any ideas on which of these 3 will have the highest performance ?

Here is an MSI GT73VR Titan promo video! Again, I feel this series has much to offer over previous iterations, and sure to be great.

    Enjoy!

    Are these 120Hz GT73s screens also G-Sync?

That's an excellent question..... not sure, but I'll see if I can get an answer soon. I thought G-Sync screens had to be certified as such, and I am not finding this in the promo material. :)

According to MSI the 120Hz is G-Sync. However, you won't see G-Sync enabled on current nVidia drivers since nVidia are still testing it before they release the drivers that is G-Sync enabled with 120Hz screen.

However, since the screen is already 120Hz @5ms, G-Sync or non-G-Sync won't really matters anymore.

It looks great; not a fan of the red trim on lid/rear; the 72 looked less blingy and preferable.

I'm kind of disappointed to see the HDMI is only 1.4, per the spec sheet I saw, making output to my 4k tv a nuisance still. I had hoped they'd fix this with pascal...

But, ya, depending on reviews, I've been waiting a year now and have my eyes on the single 1080/1080p model.

Just got my GT73VR TITAN PRO-003 model in today and it does do G-Sync out of the box.
