From my short experience, you should donate to Svet first here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=121220.0

Make an account and then post in the forum your Bios, EC, etc. and what you want done here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?board=51.0

And Svet will message you with the correct software and instructions. Hope this helps!

So I I properly installed the new BIOS and EC(E1762IMS.51X & 1762EMS1.T24) , but still have the same problem. As soon as I start some heavy gaming, the computer and the power supply both make a light, high-pitched buzzing/humming sound. As soon as I close the game it stops. Similarly, when I am running Kombustor, the sound is there, but only happens when the voltage spikes to over 1V. As soon as it drops below 1V it's gone. ( I am attaching a kombustor monitor to show that when testing, it jumps to 1.050V and that is when the sound happens. ANd also Nvidia Inpsector to show the default settings I have.)

Hi. I have also recently upgraded my GT70 2PC, Win10 from GTX 870 to GTX 980. Works perfect. Only problem I still having is when the gputemp reaches 75 degrees the sound crackles and dissapears, but I already had that problem with the GTX 870. Planning in the near future to test liquid metal on the cpu and gpu ( )hoping to drop temp some degrees. Is there anyone having some experience with this ? Here are two pics from my machine that maybe could spread some light on your problem.

    Good job!
But now 1060s and even 1070s are available for GT60/70, and they outperform quite frankly the 980m GTX.
BTW I have the same temps as yours on my 980m GTX (75-80°C).

Just wondering if your temperatures on your gpu affects your soundchip. Seems to be a common problem on GT70. What Model do you have ?

    MSI GT70-2PE-1414FR
I have absolutely no problem with my sound chip, whatever the GPU temp.
This is my realtek driver in device list:
    6.0.1.7116 from 17/12/2013
I have not updated the sound driver as it's working nicely.

Ok, I have 6.0.1.8366 - 6/2/2018 so maybe I will give your version a try, but I dont think this is a driverproblem but you never know. My model as of purchase is GT70-2PC with gtx870. According to HWinfo64 my model is now (after the gtx980) identified as GT70-2QE.

It could also be oxydation or simply a bad sound chipset.

Yeah, maybe, since I am not alone with this problem.
