Regarding my post about thermal pads and the core temp differentials. 0.5mm pads near the CPU DO NOT make contact with the HS. I went back to 1.0mm pads on that area.

Regarding to this, I also noticed that, but as @Falkentyne mentioned that some laptops don't even have the heatsink covered the regulators around the CPU. I was thinking maybe they did that with a reason, perhaps the CPU isn't drawing that much current to heat up the regulators to the level that something might get damaged?

It should not. Mine is 2018/07 and it seemed like it was addressed. Install stock Steelseries drivers from MSI website, and then if that doesn't work I suppose it's worth a shot to disassemble. The upside is that all you have to do to verify condition of the flex cable is lift the battery, this will give you visual access to the keyboard flex.

    Reinstall SCM

Check this subreddit, a bunch of post on keyboard issues.

It might be stuck while the system enters sleep mode. Check its process in Task Manager when the problem happens after waking up. Terminate it and try to reopen it after.

I'm sure someone can but that's an entire overclocking guide.
If you're asking then the answer is "no".

It is the maximum allowed current that the cpu is allowed to pull.
