I have the same feelings: the design on gs75 looks just the best.
what performance drop are we talking about between gs75 from ge75 ?

TBH i would still go for the GX701 but I cannot find an intel 8th gen w/ GSYNC version of it at the same price range of the 2 MSIs. Can you? it starts at 600$ above the 2 MSIs.

Laptop is arriving next Friday. Had a gs75 and really liked it. Wanted some more horsepower and room for cooling so I ordered a ge 2080 for 450 bucks less! Was planning on repasting (kryonaut) and adding in the 2nd m.2 drive while the heatsink is off.

Does anyone have a detailed walkthrough for LM application? Basically what foam barriers to use and how LM effects heat spreaders and dies for both cpu and gpu? What is the BIOS mod and how do you do it? Cant you just set all cores at 3.6-3.8 and undervolt in throttle stop?

Does anyone have any tips on popping off the access panel? I'd really like to avoid breaking any tabs. I'm using the full advantage of best buy's holiday exchange period until I found the machine I like lol. Definitely new to all this so I apologize. Would appreciate any input.

    Yup, the GE75's 150w 2080 is about 15% faster

yeah im so undecided . cant take a final decision.
    GE75 with i7 9th gen, RTX 2080 (full, not maxq) costs 300-400$ more than GS75 with i7 8th gen, RTX 2080 maxq.
and the GS75 with i7 9th gen costs 200-300$ more than the GE75.

GE75 's design looks like ass compared to GS75 and its battery life is much worse.

will have to choose for the one that is more future proof.

9th gen ain't worth it over 8th gen. Just 100mhz more on all core.

The zephyrus S gx701 can be flashed with a full 2080 vbios and looks great too. What price can you find it at?
