Didnt expect that. Pretty impressive for 17 inch with these specs but it seems unreal.

What did you mean by "some voltage"?

So I finally got a game downloaded, seeing temps in the low 80's after an hour of gaming on ultra with an OC on the GPU +50 core / +1000 mem and a -70mv undervolt on the CPU. That was on BFV ray tracing off.

EDIT** Actually the undervolt was not applied lol. BFV should be completely done downloading tomorrow and I will test multiplayer and maybe record my results.

GS65 (from the review) reaches 75C on CPU and 67C on GPU with undervolting + custom fan curve (which is around 90-100% speed at 75C) + laptop stand. While GE75 from Derek got max temp below 60C after a cinebench run (probably on max fan) with undervolting. It would be appreciated if @drek20 can give us more on temp while gaming, but thermal comparison should be pretty accurate given both laptop has been repasted with LM + added thermal pads.

In short, GE proves to be much better at thermal management (CPU wise) but both laptop already perform at a great temperature.

Gaming at 1080p is a breeze for RTX series, at least for now. So you won't notice a big difference between max Q and regular 2080. However, if you want to run at lower fan speed, or can't get LM repasted on your laptop, GE75 might be a better choice given its better thermal headroom. Otherwise GS series has better battery life and more portable.

How many hours of battery life can you get from the GS vs the GE?

What's your fan setting? YouTube review shows the GE75's CPU hovering around 70C in BF5 w ray tracing.
